Did you know that you can take advantage of soft water regeneration on your Clack simple dual alternating system by installing the MAV valve on the feed water side of the valves? (2” EE valves excluded)

Regeneration with Hard Water

Here we see a typical dual alt setup with the MAV on the common outlet with 1 meter resulting in hard water regeneration.

Regeneration with Soft Water

Installing the MAV to the common feed line and adding a meter to each valve results in soft water regeneration. When valve A goes into regeneration the “A” Port on the MAV closes and the product from valve B becomes the feed to valve A for the regeneration process.

(NOTE: 2” EE valves not compatible with reverse flow soft water regeneration)
